Invoice Spark privacy policy
This policy covers the Invoice Spark Android app (com.invoicespark.app) and the invoicespark.bytesflux.com website, both published by BytesFlux.
Short answer
What data does Invoice Spark collect?
By default, none. The app has no ads and no analytics, and your invoices, clients and business details are stored only on your own device.
There is one exception, and it is opt-in: Cloud Backup, a Pro feature. If you turn it on, a copy of your invoice data is uploaded to our cloud provider so it can be restored to a new device. If you never turn it on, nothing leaves your phone.
1. The short version
- Free plan, and Pro without Cloud Backup: all your data stays on your device. We hold nothing.
- Pro with Cloud Backup enabled: your invoice and client data is uploaded and stored so you can restore it. We can technically access it in order to provide that service; we do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it for anything else.
- Either way: no advertising, no ad identifiers, and no selling of data to anyone.
2. Information you create
When you use Invoice Spark you enter data such as your business name and logo, your clients' names and contact details, line items, prices, tax rates and payment status. This is written to the app's private storage on your device.
It stays there and only there unless you enable Cloud Backup, which is described in section 3.
3. Cloud Backup (Pro feature, opt-in)
Cloud Backup exists so that losing your phone does not mean losing your invoice history. When you enable it:
- What is uploaded: a copy of your invoice data — invoices, estimates, receipts, clients, and your business profile including your logo.
- Where it is stored: on infrastructure operated by a third-party cloud hosting provider, acting as our processor under contract. Data is encrypted in transit. The current list of processors is available on request from hello@bytesflux.com.
- Why: solely to store and restore your backup. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with third parties other than the hosting provider that stores it.
- Identification: a backup has to be linked to you so that it can be returned to you and not to someone else. Enabling Cloud Backup therefore involves identifying your backup, which is not required for any other part of the app.
- Turning it off and deleting it: you can disable Cloud Backup at any time. To have a stored backup deleted, email hello@bytesflux.com and we will delete it and confirm.
If you never enable Cloud Backup — which includes everyone on the free plan — none of this applies to you and no data of yours exists outside your phone.
4. What the app never collects
On either plan, Invoice Spark does not collect:
- Advertising identifiers — the app contains no ad SDKs
- Location data
- Your contacts, call logs or messages
- Behavioural or cross-app tracking data
5. Payments
The Pro subscription is sold and billed through Google Play. BytesFluxnever sees or stores your card details, billing address or payment credentials — those are handled entirely by Google under Google's own privacy policy. We receive only the fact that a subscription is active.
6. Third-party services
Invoice Spark contains no advertising networks and no advertising SDKs. The third parties involved are limited to the cloud hosting provider that stores Cloud Backup data for subscribers who enable it, and Google Play for distribution and billing.
Two further things happen outside the app, at your initiative:
- Sharing a PDF.When you tap share, Android hands the file to whichever app you pick — WhatsApp, Gmail, Drive, Telegram. From that point the receiving app's privacy policy applies to the file.
- Android system backup. If you have Android's backup to Google Drive enabled on your device, Android may include app data in that backup. That is controlled by you and Google in your device settings, not by BytesFlux.
7. Permissions
Invoice Spark asks only for the permissions it needs for what you have asked it to do — typically storage access to save an exported PDF and, if you add a logo or a photo, access to the image you select. It does not request contacts, location or microphone access.
8. Retention
Data on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud Backup data is retained while your backup is active and is deleted on request, or within a reasonable period after a subscription ends and the backup is no longer needed to serve you.
9. Children
Invoice Spark is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13.
10. Your rights
If you have never enabled Cloud Backup, we hold nothing about you and there is nothing to export, correct or erase — you already have sole control. If you have enabled it, you can ask us at hello@bytesflux.com to provide a copy of your stored backup or to delete it, and we will do so.
Whichever plan you are on, deleting an invoice or client inside the app removes that record from your device, and uninstalling the app removes its local data. Uninstalling is permanent — if you are on the free plan with no cloud backup, export anything you want to keep as a PDF first.
11. The website
invoicespark.bytesflux.com is a static marketing site. It sets no advertising cookies and does not use cookies to identify you. Standard server access logs may be kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability, and if privacy-respecting aggregate analytics are used they are limited to page-level counts never tied to an individual.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here with a new revision date below. Any change to what the app collects will be described here and reflected in the Google Play Data safety section before it ships.
