A typical invoicing SaaS costs somewhere between $9 and $20 a month. A practical note: state the currency in words as well as the symbol on international invoices. “$” means at least four different currencies, and the ambiguity has cost people real money.
Getting paid on time
- Agree the terms before the work. A quotation with a payment term on it is a far stronger position than an invoice sent into silence. See estimates and quotations.
- Invoice the day you deliver. Not at month end. The clock only starts when the invoice arrives, and a delivery that is still fresh gets approved faster.
- Put a specific due date on it.“Due 19 August” gets paid; “payment on receipt” gets filed.
- Number invoices sequentially. It is a legal requirement in many countries and it makes you look like a business rather than someone improvising in a word processor.
- Follow up on the dashboard, not from memory. Paid, pending and overdue in one screen means the chase is a habit rather than a confrontation.

- How do I stop clients paying late?
